Mighty Boosh announce festival curation

By: Chris Helsen

The Mighty Boosh

In a summer just crying out for another festival, Vince Power has at least added a twist to his latest to be announced, 'The Mighty Boosh Festival' on July 5th.

Billed as "the first major open air comedy festival", the one day event at Hop Farm in Kent promises some big names from the worlds of comedy and music as Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding open their contact books. Russell Brand should be there at least.

Apart from a headline set from The Boosh themselves no other acts have yet been announced, so it is unclear just how big the names will be (or whether Naboo and Bollo will be appearing) but it seems to be shaping up to be predominantly a day of comedy with the odd bit of music relief thrown in for a laugh.

Having declared that his other summer festival venture (A Day At The Hop Farm, headlined by Neil Young) will be unbranded and unsponsored, with no backstage and no VIP passes, it is as yet unknown whether this will apply to The Mighty Boosh Festival and Power will be making Noel, Julian et al queue up at the bar with everyone else.

Tickets for the event, priced £50.00 face value, are available HERE.
