Pivot sign to Warp, release EP, tour

Brand new Warp signings Pivot have announced details of their debut EP In The Blood along with a host of live dates. The electro trio with a penchant for synths are the first Australian band to sign for the label, but from the sound of In The Blood they'll be a perfect fit alongside the likes of Autechre and Battles.
The band features former members of Prefuse 73 and Flanger, but in the current climate of the cult of celebrity, we are also obliged to include a moment of showbiz revelation in this news piece. So here it is: it turns out that singer/guitarist Richard Pike was in fact Ewan MacGregor's stand-in in Star Wars. Pivot on that!
The EP is released on May 19th and Pivot play their first Northern Hemisphere shows over the next month:
