Calexico Get Carried Away

As if a headline slot at this year's End Of The Road festival wasn't enough excitement, Mexi-Americana geniuses Calexico have announced details of a new album and tour dates aplenty. The Arizonans' 6th full-length record, Carried To Dust is due for release on September 8th.
Likely to follow the more mainstream direction of previous LP Garden Ruin (2006), Carried To Dust is set to renew some old acquaintances and introduce some fresh ones, with long-time collaborator Sam Beam of Iron & Wine fame joining Joey Burns, John Convertino and band on the album, along with the likes of Tortoise's Doug McCombs and folkster Pieta Brown.
As well as several festival dates, the band will be touring North America and Europe throughout the summer and autumn.
