Rockfeedback TV series finale: Planeta Terra Festival, Brazil - Channel 4, 1.40am Friday Night
By: Thomas Hannan

[THE BREEDERS]
Sometimes it's nice to prove you can kick it with the big boys. After documenting some of the most out there, perplexing and yet thoroughly rewarding underground music from all over the globe throughout series three of our Rockfeedback Presents... show, for the finale we once again upped sticks and spent sixteen hours on a plane travelling to the dizzying urban sprawl of Sao Paulo, Brazil, in order to document the Planeta Terra festival (that's 'Planet Earth' in Portuguese. And that's pretty much all the Portuguese we learnt. We are ashamed of this).

[SPOON]
And though we did indeed uncover some local gems previously unknown to us and our kind, such as Mau Mau, Brothers of Brasil and sixteen year old chanteuse Mallu Maghaeles, this is otherwise the one where we bring you the big guns.

[ANIMAL COLLECTIVE]
Yep, if you want to hear Kim Deal of the Breeders bantering with her twin sister Kelly about her supposed status as an indie rock legend, Bloc Party muse upon what the strange smell coming from Foals' dressing room might be and the Kaiser Chiefs engage fifteen thousand Brazillians in a communal celebration of prim an proper English pop, this is your show.

[BLOC PARTY]
There are also splendid performances from titans of the current US alternative scene such as Spoon and the completely spellbinding Animal Collective to make waiting up 'til 1.40am watching Channel 4 on Friday night (yeah yeah, Saturday morning...) all the more worthwhile.
