Rockfeedback announces partnership with inaugural Hinterland Festival

By: Thomas Hannan

Hinterland 2009

Rockfeedback is tickled tartan to announce that it will be hosting a stage at the first ever Hinterland Festival, due to be held in Glasgow in 2009. The first ever single ticket, multi venue event in the city, it'll take place on the 30th of April and 1st of May next year, and will see eighty bands play in fifteen venues over the course of the two days. We're liking them numbers.

The most pressingly exciting thing is that the first 30 of said 80 have just been announced. Keen as the organisers are to ensure that the line up reflects the diverse range of local talent, half of the entire line up will be of Scottish origin. The initial line up has twenty of 'em - geography fans, see if you can spot which ones they are on the list below...

Hinterland founder Mike Oman said: "The interest in Hinterland from the industry has been phenomenal. Our committee members have been instrumental in helping us find some of the best underground talent Scotland has to offer. I'm very proud that 20 of the first 30 bands we have confirmed are Scottish. Over the coming weeks we'll be announcing some nationally recognised acts that will make Hinterland tickets worth their weight in gold."

Tickets for Hinterland are priced at £42 for a two day ticket and £23.50 for single day tickets. A limited number of discounted early bird two day tickets will initially be available priced £35. They are available from www.hinterlandfestival.com and go are on sale now
