Rockfeedback presents... Dead Kids, Wet Paint, O.Children + Voluntary Butler Scheme - 12/2/09 @ The Lexington, London - TIX ON SALE NOW!

By: Dan Monsell

January's launch at our great new venue/offices was all kinds of great. But hey, let's not dwell on the past, here comes the future... This month's show is an extra special affair headlined by one of our favourite raucous live bands, with support from a trio of splendour. In short, it's an absolutely un-missable corker of a show, and it's going to be all kinds of fun. Sink some teeth into this lot:

Dead Kids

DEAD KIDS - One of the finest live bands in the country, East London's post-punk electro rockers Dead Kids are one of the loudest, fiercest and most exciting bands you're ever likely to lay eyes on. Rockfeedback was first won over by them ripping the Camden Crawl apart, then we went all crazy for them as front-man Mike Title criss-crossed the dance-floor and jumped all over the bar, swung from the ceiling and quite simply rocked-the-f**k-out during one of those life changing sets at Concrete and Glass back in Autumn '08. We're not alone in thinking that they're one of the best live rock and roll bands on the planet, a ton of other chins-stroking bastards like us all kinds of agree. A must-see band. www.myspace.com/youaredeadkids

Wet Paint

WET PAINT - UnashamedlyPavement-loving new wave grunge rockers bringing the slacker back. Wet Paint are bloody GREAT. Not only does our sister label Transgressive agree, with the band being on the current publishing roster (debut LP It Rots out now), so do Bloc Party, and they're currently opening their arena tour, playing to a casual few thousand every night www.myspace.com/wetpaintwetpaint

O Children

O.CHILDREN - Brooding and haunting post-punk pop with deep intense melody and a remarkable frontman in the shape of a giant male Grace Jones. Easy comparisons can be made with Joy Division, but there's also a more sparse and later 80s arena pop-rock edge in there too (in the best way possible). Big ones to watch, these young upstarts are a really exciting new band. www.myspace.com/ochildren

Voluntary Butler Scheme

VOLUNTARY BUTLER SCHEME - Futuristic pop music with influences from Can to Johnny Cash from this hotly tipped three piece from Stourbridge on the up. VBS are smile from ear-to-ear to pop-tactically perfect. All in all it comes across like The Beatles meets your favourite C86 style bands like The Vaselines or the The Pastels circa 2009, and it's just as good as that sounds.

Plus the lovely My Ex-Boyfriends Records girls are coming down to DJ alongside the Rockfeedback residents, Tough Love Records and special others TBC, all playing the best in alt-pop, non-alt pop, rock classics and some great new noises to get your ears twitching and your sneaker moving into the night. But where?

Here - The Lexington, 96-8 Pentonville Rd, Angel, London on Thursday 12th February. Angel tube station is only fractionally nearer than Kings Cross, and both are really close. Ideal. Doors are 8pm-late, and if you're one of the first 50 people in you get a really quite lovely GOODY BAG full of great musical goods. Which is definitely better than a kick in the teeth. Had one of them once. Hurt like hell.

Tickets are £7.00 advance and we suggest you get them sharpish right HERE - http://www.wegottickets.com/event/41994 - as it'll be a bit dearer on the door.
