Rockfeedback vs White Light @ The Lexington, London - with The Soft Pack, Stricken City + The Invisible, 20th Feb - GET TIX HERE!

By: Dan Monsell

So what with our February club night you were probably thinking that we'd brought enough gig-goodness to the table already this month, such that we could probably just sit hard on our laurels. But hell no... We're proud to announce that we'll also be doing a special collaboration with White Light (the new sister club night to White Heat that only plays music before 1984) for a special club show on the 20th of February at The Lexington, 96-98 Pentonville Road, London, N1 9JB. And what's more, we've got a bill that's more buzzy than a whole forest full of bees using hairdryers during an earthquake. Details for you are directly below these words...

The Soft Pack

THE SOFT PACK - Recently changing their name from The Muslims*, the San Diego- raised, LA-based quartet play a refreshingly stripped-down, revved-up, no-frills brand of raucous garage-rock. Having recently landed coveted support slots with the likes of The Breeders, The Last Shadow Puppets, Bloc Party and Franz Ferdinand, the band arrive in the UK as widely heralded hot tips, included in pretty much every critic's January list as a band set for big things in 2009.

Stricken City

{ Stricken City } - Fronted by the beautiful Rebekah Raa, this London foursome are a fantastic live band full of reverb-heavy, scratchy, riff-filled guitar-pop. They call to mind the likes of The Wedding Present, The Smiths and Young Marble Giants - making music to swoon hard to and revel in for its sheer indie brilliance. These guys are real Rockfeedback favourites - returning now after playing one of our Basement Club (R.I.P) shows last year with Micachu. They just don't make 'em much like this anymore.

The Invisible

THE INVISIBLE - One of the reasons Rockfeedback has been getting all kinds of excited about '09, The Invisible have already got one of this year's best singles under their belts with 'Monster's Waltz', out this month. The trio have been widely touted as the UK's answer to TV on the Radio, and the likes of Zane Lowe, Foals and Hot Chip have already been quick to announce themselves as fans. Part sonic-sound adventurers full of funk, soul and jazz references; part progressive-rock superstars in waiting, The Invisible round off a trio that's got us so excited we're off to have a little sit down with a glass of water outside.

After the bands we have White Light Club DJs until 4am. Matty from ace indie night White Heat hosts a new night to knock your patterned pumps off. But here, they only play pre-1984 tracks (without the cheese!), from Roy Orbison to Robert Palmer via The Cure. Friday night fun.

So - We're doing tickets for this show at £5, because we're all kinds of nice like that. It could well sell out, so we'd say snap 'em quick here:
