STOP PRESS: WE CAN ANNOUNCE ALL TICKETS FOR THIS GIG WERE SNAPPED UP IN THE SPACE OF 9 HOURS. APOLOGIES TO ANYONE WHO DIDN'T MANAGE TO GET ONE - OUR MARCH LINE UP IS SHAPING UP NICELY THOUGH, SO DETAILS OF THAT SOON.
Rockfeedback is all kinds of pleasured to announce that The Rakes will be playing a special one-off intimate show (it was one of those 'secret show' things, but then we announced it) at our splendiferous new home the Lexington next Friday, 27th February. The returning super indie-rockers will be unveiling their new album Klang!, at a special cosy, sweaty, probably very drunken on our part and definitely very intimate gig at a specially hosted Rockfeedback club night.
The show is to be the second in our special 2 week take-over of ace new Friday club night White Light, the sister venture from the folks behind White Heat, which starts this very Friday with a show that's buzzier than a swarm of angry bees - The Soft Pack, Stricken City and The Invisible alongside White Light DJs making your sneakers move to tunes pre-1984 only after the bands and into the wee morning hours. More info on that HERE.

As for THE RAKES though - it seems only yesterday that these boys released two minute indie smasher '22 Grand Job' on Trash Aesthetics Records (a tiny little imprint started by a baby-faced Rockfeedbacker and sister label honcho Tim Dellow many moons ago). Alas, it was actually five years hence, and the band are now preparing to release their third full length next month. Recorded in an industrial area in the old Communist part of Berlin and produced by Chris Zane (Les Savy Fav, The Walkmen, Passion Pit) , Klang! has been heralded by critics here there and everywhere as "just really bloody good."
Support on the night is from EXTRA SPECIAL ROCKFEEDBACK FAVES who are a bloody brilliant band we love dearly. And it's a massive secret. Shh...
Tickets are available for £10.00 in advance right here - http://www.wegottickets.com/event/44725 We'd advise you to be super quick, as The Rakes have already sold out their Koko show on their April tour already! We cannae wait!
