What a glorious thing summer is. To celebrate this fact we have a sunshine-filled show to kick it off with one of the most exciting line-ups we've put together this year. Headlining is a UK debut for a band hotter than global warming in an oven turned up to full, California's Local Natives - a very exciting tribal-type collective of five over from the USA, full of harmony-drenched and seemingly effortless timeless song-craft. Two other headliners in their own right join them: new London-based indie-pop-like-indie-pop-once-was titans Your Twenties and new alt-folkers Kurran and the Wolfnotes. Want to know more?

LOCAL NATIVES -Silver Lake, USA residents Local Natives were rightly one of the most talked about new bands at new-music extravaganza SXSW this year, picking up across the board plaudits for their strikingly beautiful baroque, harmonic pop. Calling to mind the off-kilter creativity of Talking Heads with the lush energetic melody and musical tribalism of the likes of Broken Social Scene, The Byrds, Vampire Weekend and Fleet Foxes, this show is an eagerly anticipated debut UK appearance. www.myspace.com/localnatives

YOUR TWENTIES - Fleetwood Mac meets indie pop goodness from these fine young London-based, Devon originating upstarts. The band feature ex-Metronomy man Gabriel on vocal duties and possess a big bag full of wonderful songs to get you all excited about indie-pop coming out of the capital all over again. www.myspace.com/yourtwenties
KURRAN AND THE WOLFNOTES - More newcomers to the vibrant and flourishing British new-folk scene, London-based Kurran and the Wolfnotes possess a genuine and heart-rendering sincerity in their harmony-drenched traditional sounds, while also coming armed with a slew of hugely catchy and exciting pop songs at their disposal. Some more big ones to watch here to round off a bill of very exciting new music. www.myspace.com/kurranandthewolfnotes
Plus there'll be DJ sets between the bands from ace East London shindig run in association with one of our fave free music rags, DIRTY BINGO vs. LOUD AND QUIET. Additionally ROCKFEEDBACK DJS will also appear, probably playing 'Can't Do Nuttin' For You Man' by Public Enemy at least twice, just like we did when we play at Dirty Bingo last Saturday.
So that's all at The Lexington, 96-98 Pentonville Road in Angel, on Monday 13th July. Kings Cross and Angel tubes are closest, and doors are at 7.30pm. Tickets for all of our shows can be purchased right here: www.wegottickets.com/rockfeedback
