News from O2: Yeah Yeah Yeahs plot UK winter tour

Everyone likes the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. You do. I do. Your grandma definitely does - between Tuesday afternoon bingo and her late-night Werther's binge, she likes nothing more than to strap on a pink leotard and killer heels and shimmy to Fever to Tell.
2008 was a pretty quiet year for the band, so we were all rather ecstatic when they dropped their third LP It's Blitz! back in Spring. And it is, undeniably, one of the records of the year, with the band once more striking a perfect balance between unadulterated rock joy and slow-burning emotional slipstreams, with TV on the Radio's producer extraordinaire Dave Sitek and co-pro Nick Launay pushing the band into hitherto unexplored soundscapes and instrumental nooks and crannies.
For those that weren't able to lay their hands on tickets to their brief UK jaunt earlier in the year, or won't be catching them at any of their multitudinous festival performances, then fear not! For the band visit our green and pleasant land once more this winter, including a whole two (two! decadent) shows at O2 Academy Brixton. Expect flying eyeballs, many costume changes and loud, loud (Rock)feedback.
