Why is this worthy of my time and money?: Quite simple, this one:
YOU WILL NOT GET ANOTHER CHANCE.*
After 'Ten Years of Tears' (also the title of their farewell compilation album), the boys 'Strap are calling it a day. Whilst Aidan Moffat of the band once apologetically told us upon witnessing a particularly sombre set that they were 'great on record, but sh*t live', we couldn't disagree more - no, it's not that they falter on disc whatsoever, just that in a live setting, when the mood is right (and what with the farewell nature of these shows we'd imagine it'll be perfect), no band can adjust the emotional mindset of an audience quite like Arab Strap. There are tickets left for Bristol. Wave goodbye extra hard just for us, please.
*OK, that's a white lie - the tour actually continues until Monday December 4th when the boys finally bid goodbye at the Glasgow ABC. Time's running out, though..
