Why is this worthy of my time and money?: Well, let's listen to the band describing their debut album 'Sweet Drunk Everyone' to answer that, shall we? Here goes:
"Don't be put off by the 5 number of songs, it's over 40 minutes long, like prog rock but without the solos or haircuts. At only 7 quid it's £1.40 per 8 minutes and you could fit 3 Oasis songs in that time and if, like me, you think Oasis are 36.8% worse than your band that's 36.8 x 3 = 110.4% better than three Oasis songs. That's before the vocals come in and, if i may say so myself, they increase the quality by 6.8 times. You do the math."
Well, we're sold. But if you need further incentive, we can add that we've quietly been dropping this name amongst our 'who do you rate for 2007?' conversations for a while now, and that Rockfeedback's own Chris Pratt sings backing vocals for 'em on that very record they so complicatedly described in the preceding paragraph. Add to this the fact that their name slays, and that Johnny Flynn, a purveyor of superbly literate alt-country looked after by our boys at Transgressive in their new guise as artist managers, is the support, and you've got yourself an ace new bands showcase to ease you in to gigging in 2007.
