Why is this worthy of my time and money?: One should always make the effort to see a band with a good name, but when it's a name as good as this attached to a band as loud as this, that need to make an effort becomes a duty, the kind recommended by Kantian Categorical Imperatives (see me after class).
The Indiana four piece are over for a couple of dates in London (they also play the Metro Club tonight if you fancy), at which you can expect to hear everything from drawn out post rock exploratory instrumentals - some occasionally performed live in total darkness - to brutal punk rock with lashings of electric cello and ominous mentions of devils and zombies. Or, as they describe themselves on the title of their first record, Murder by Death are "Like the Exorcist, but More Breakdancing". As this and indeed their very name suggests, they're good with titles - other classics include 'Until Morale Improves, The Beatings Will Continue' and 'A Masters In Reverse Psychology'.
The kind of sound that keeps kids awake at night crying horrible tears.
