Why is this worthy of my time and money?: Though Regina Spektor's recent record, 'Begin To Hope', featured more conventional pop arrangements, synthesisers and drum machines than long term fans were used to, admirers new and old will be pleased to discover that live, these new compositions are stripped back to the same medium that allowed her other, earlier material to shine so brightly - just that idiosyncratic piano playing, and that voice. It's all any song ever needs.
The devotion shown towards this woman in a concert setting is nothing short of spectacular, yet also entirely fitting. Watch in wonder as thousands of boozed up kids fall deathly silent for hours on end, listening to tales witty, heartbreaking and life affirming, often all at once.
