Well folks, I finally made it to London... I sold myself out, threw away my northern life and joined the masses in Camden... OK, it's about 20 minutes north of Camden on the tube, but no less inspiring. Aside from having the ability to drop new material off at the glamorous Rockfeedback offices, something which is now essential having lost the glory of internet, I can head out into town each night and catch a gig. It seems that London is like a non-stop music festival with at least 3 good shows on a night and as The Camden Crawl draws near things can only get better...
The joys of working in an insurance company... oh how I move around... have become dull again and I will of course be looking for something a bit sexier to occupy my days but until I do, I'll be making waves on the good ship London Music Scene for the unforeseeable future... hooray!...
Now, musically I've been all about Patrick Wolf this month. In the past 4 weeks, Paddy has gone from underground bohemian god to somewhat of a mainstream puppet... but sod it. I love his music and he's amazing... REALLY amazing... live. Still, there's a part of me that died when I saw the Charlotte Church show...
Also into the new Duels stuff... they're sounding much sexier these days and with their second album written and ready to record, I've turned my attentions back to 'em. Kubichek! are also causing my pants to move and their debut album, 'Not Enough Night' is so cool it makes my teeth blister.
So much good music and so many great people around me... what's not to love, eh?...
