Why is this worthy of my time and money?: Because your attendance awards Dev's bravery, that's why. Once a third of the grindpop monster that was Test Icicles, Dev has since the demise of that short lived yet seminal band turned his hands to more personal obsessions such as comic books and alt-country. Both obsessions come together under the heading of Lightspeed Champion, a project far more tender and touching than anything a man who once gave guitar licks to a band named after male genitalia has any right to make.
