Explosions In The Sky

By: Thomas Hannan

Explosions In The Sky

Touring this week:

Concorde 2, Brighton - 23/01/2008

Anson Rooms, Bristol - 24/01/2008

Tour then continues:

Manchester University, Manchester - 29/01/2008

Astoria, London - 30/01/2008

Tickets: From £12.50 available HERE

Why is this worthy of my time and money?: Because sometimes you're able to connect with genuine human emotion without even being told a single word. And most of those times, you're listening to something like the masterful instrumental post rock of Bella Union records' Explosions In The Sky, who, when on form, are one of the most formidable live bands in all of rock music today. Surprisingly but deservedly very successful (surprising because it's staunchly devoid of vocals and deservedly because it can be very, very impressive), this tour will include a second quickly sold out show from the band at London's Astoria in recent memory - there was a legendary performance there last year, too - from a band who've recently begun curating an All Tomorrow's Parties festival.
