As my first official entry in my Rockfeedback blog, I feel I should make it a good 'un.
So here it is in an official manner:
Kicker Conspiracy's second instalment in the live foray is proud to present a most-likely-to for 2008, in the shape of Wild Beasts. The Leeds cum Kendal four-piece in the last year have supported Jack Penate on tour and their following London show is an NME Brats show at the Astoria with CSS and Mystery Jets. Think Orange Juice meets Jeff Buckley meets British Sea Power. Sorry for drawing comparisons there.
One would be mad to not attend - come see this lot in a venue this intimate whilst its still possible to contain them before an inevitable explosion into the mainstream. If that wasn't enough, The Train Chronicles and new Leeds buzz band, The Old Romantic Killer Band (whom upon Wild Beasts request, insisted they performed) support for what is a stellar line-up.
So to re-cap:
Friday February 15th:
Kicker Conspiracy! presents:
Wild Beasts (Domino) + The Train Chronicles (Real Gold) + The Old Romantic Killer Band (Bad Sneakers)
DJ's: Kicker Conspiracy!, Lost In Paris, Matty White Heat
Doors: 8pm-2am
The Macbeth, Hoxton Street, London N1 6LP
Nearest Tube: Old Street
Also on your screens is the best flyer you're likely to ever see. All replete with a crocodile goalkeeper, a unicorn and a penalty decision being awarded. Time Out Magazine made this show included amongst their recommendations for Friday night if you need that little bit of further convincing. See you tonight?
