Why is this worthy of my time and money?: Not only do this band have a swear word in their name (which as F**k Buttons will tell you makes you immune to all criticism), but Toronto's Holy F**k also use a 35mm film sequencer on stage - to make sounds with. You too can marvel at this beautiful contraption, and think to yourself, 'how does it make sound? Does it make any sound? Is he just making films? What sort of films would they be?', and other questions as well.
As well as a film sequencer, the band also use a great deal of effects pedals to surprisingly musical effect, and far from being pretentious Holy F**k have a joyful energy on stage largely due to the presence of tandem drummers Matt Schulz and Brad Kilpatrick. Whilst exhibiting such tireless energy they maintain a genuinely experimental approach, often collaborating with Brooklyn rapper Beans, all involved contributing to their unrelenting goal of what I like to call playing music.
