Why is this worthy of my time and money?: You've all read the reviews, some of them written by this very site, saying how Les Savy Fav are the best live band in the world. We're not about to go back on our word, far from it. In fact, we're just about to assert the same thing, using different methods. Whilst of course many will be drawn to the band because of the antics of front man Tim Harrington (who I've known mid gig to personally pour red wine down my neck, steal my camera to take a picture of me, and engage me in a mass wedding), it's often overlooked that whilst he's off risking his life by dangling off something or singing his heart out from behind the venue's bar, the band are on stage not caring one bit what he's up to, so intent are they on completely kicking ass. Les Savy Fav are mostly the best live band in the world for reasons that are other than visual - quite simply, these songs are incredible. It's the reason that their recently released live album (After the Balls Drop - their first ever live document) slays without you even having to clap eyes on Harrington at all. It's the reason these gigs are going to be wonderful.
