Why is this worthy of my time and money?: Avid band-watchers will know that Sky Larkin have featured on many a fabled "ones to watch" list. Here at Rockfeedback we've been monitoring the band for many moons and can see (and hear) great things on the horizon. It's highly recommended you catch the Leeds trio now, before they head off on their European tour in February - though adversely you may be tempted to follow them on a debauched Euro trip once you catch a glimpse of them live on our fine shores. Fronted by the dreamy Katie Harkin, expect giant choruses, driving guitars and punching drum beats all coated in a discordant yet glistening pop sheen. Last year saw them play alongside the likes of The Gossip, ¡Forward, Russia! and Broken Social Scene -a fine calibre of bands. Add to this a fresh signing to Witchita Records and a debut album The Golden Spike released any day now and it would seem like an exciting time for Sky Larkin; rest assured that this buzz within the band translates into an exhilarating show.
