Why is this worthy of my time and money?: Threatmantics are a three piece signed to Double Six records who make music that sounds a bit like a spooky hoedown. They're lumped in with guitar bands, but that's a bit misleading as the main instrument doing the work here is actually a fiddle and not a guitar at all (though there is a guitar there, next to the bloke who's managing to play drums and keyboards at the same time - clever git). Live, it makes for an exciting spectacle akin to an indie barn dance, with a wry sense of humour and an unavoidable wicked streak.
