Why is this worthy of my time and money?: Legend has it Ginger once danced so hard that she filled her white dancing shoes with blood, turned them red. It is fitting that Blood Red Shoes are named after Ginger. Seeing this Brighton based duo live, it is visible that this is a passion and dedication which they are all too familiar with. Steven sometimes drums so passionately that he comes off stage and hurls. According to him, "bleeding fingers and toes is what makes music great... that's where I always want to be, especially at live shows. It makes people dance." And dance they do. For Blood Red Shoes put on a damn good show, belting out tune after tune of music to make your feet move of their own accord and your head jerk up and down. After the great reception to their album 'Box of Secrets', a new album is in the pipeline, so go and see them before they hole themselves up in the studio again. And, if you're still not sold, they are both pretty hot too.
If that wasn't enough, they are touring with Leeds based Pulled Apart By Horses, a favourite with us here at Rockfeedback simply because they are pretty damn super. We defy anyone to watch them and not fall in love with them a little bit. Go and see them, and if you don't want to then you deserve to sit at home weeping until you give in and see them anyway.
