Why is this worthy of my time and money?: Returning for the third year of its seaside based multimedia brouhaha, the Loop Festival has quickly asserted itself as one of the most exciting and genuinely different events on the UK festival calendar - an achievement which, given the amount of fests going on in its hometown of Brighton alone, is nothing to be sniffed at. There's much in the way of digital art and culture (VJs, films, cool animation stuff etc.) to immerse yourself in here, but high brow techniness is certainly not the order of the day - rather, the likes of Squarepusher, Fever Ray (yeah, it's her from The Knife!), our very own Esser, local boys Fujiya and Miyagi and the ever enchanting Emiliana Torrini ensure that driving this festival is a strongly beating and very musical heart.
