Gross bias alert. Via our allied Transgressive Records, we're releasing the brand-new EP from rising Oxfordshire trio, The Young Knives.
Entitled 'Junky Music Make My Heart Beat Faster', the four tracks are available via strictly limited-edition 10" vinyl (almost already sold out via pre-orders alone) in select outlets, or via the below download link, from Monday 30th May onwards.
Produced by Andy Gill of Gang Of Four esteem, the tracks range from entangled, ship-wrecking devastation ('Coastguard'), jaunty, ricocheting, classic Anglo-pop ('Weekends & Bleak Days' - the radio/TV/club hit of sorts), bracing and pacing, moody indie allure ('Tremblings Of Trails') and intense, anthemic righteousness ('Kramer V Kramer'). It's one of the finer releases this year.
