M Craft - Sweets (679)
By: Thomas Hannan
We first came across the track 'Sweets' on M Craft's charming 'I Can See It All Tonight', which was either a really short album, or a bloody long EP. Either way, it was pretty grand from beginning to end, lilting with an almost Crosby Stills Nash & Young thing about it, not being too caught up in its own cleverness, preferring instead to just let gorgeous melodies hold the attention of the listener closely.
'Sweets' is probably the most accessible of the bunch o'tunes we've heard from the fella, and fittingly, it's got itself a single release (on October 2nd, with a cover of The Cult's 'She Sells Sanctuary' on the flip, which should be interesting), and an obligatory video to accompany it. It's below, should you fancy, which you should.
