It's always worth getting to anything promoted by the fine fellows at All Tomorrow's Parties early. We went to see Low, you see, do 'Things We Lost In The Fire' from beginning to end at Koko a few months back, as part of ATP's excellent 'Don't Look Back' season. It were magic. But what happened before it was pretty good, too...
Fionn Regan, father of Ronald and man whose first name we aren't entirely sure how to pronounce because we're not that clued up, supported. Now, we're usually of the opinion that singer songwriters are largely a pretty boring proposition, and should just be better. Fionn was great - twists and turns everywhere, expert at dynamics, and he really bashed the hell out of his poor guitar. 'Why can't they all be like this?', we grumbled to ourselves.
