Bear this in mind when trying to impress us - there should be more bands like instrumental explorers extraordinaire The Earlies, but not more bands who sound like The Earlies. The Earlies sound like themselves, and not other people. If other people were to sound like them, this would dilute both the impact of the new music and The Earlies themselves. Be influenced by them, yes, but not necessarily by their sound. Be influenced by their ethic, their approach - sound like yourself, please, is the lesson.
