Lavender Diamond is a character, half bird, half human - a persona adopted by Becky Stark and her band. Now, quite how she ended up sounding like this when she spent much of her formative time as an artist hanging out with Lightning Bolt at Fort Thunder we'll never understand, but sound like this she does - early seventies British folk mixed in with a bit of witchcraft and the vocal tones of someone who obviously owns a Low record or two (just like us).
