Hot Club De Paris

HOT CLUB DE PARIS:

Meshing heart-grabbing punk rock, indie sensibilities and power-pop blasts with an admirable disregard for conventional time structures, this Liverpudlian foursome are currently holed up working hard at album number three, making this rare venture out in to the big  bad world quite the show indeed.  Hot Club De Paris made good friends of Rockfeedback out in Iceland a few years back,  and they’re sure to have the same effect on you – here’s compelling video evidence of their charms.

FLASHGUNS:

Firm rockfeedback favourites these chaps - open-hearted indie-popsters Flashguns are a perfect snapshot of forward-thinking young new bands carving their way into the music world with a big bag of great songs and a frenetic live show. A great band (now a trio), who call to mind a fresh-faced Smiths with a heavier pop-orientated yet Sigur Ros-y soundscaped edge, recent tours with Bombay Bicycle Club and Jamie T mean they're sat with the world at their feet. We've liked them for a while, and they're REALLY nice guys too. Go on, go up and have a chat to them afterwards, buy 'em some drinks, they're cool. Go on www.myspace.com/flashguns

SPARKY DEATHCAP:

Accompanied live by drawings on an overhead projector, London-based Sparky Deathcap is fantastically endearing lofi new artist/musician with nods to an array of offbeat mavericks such as Jeffrey Lewis, Smog, Daniel Johnston The Microphones and the Silver Jews. Recently returning from a tour with Los Campesinos!, Sparky stops in here as an exciting performer very much on the up. He also does a cool illustration blog here and there's also a really nice piece about being DIY and realizing you're DIY here http://www.myspace.com/sparkydeathcap
