Christmas is a-coming and this year we're bloody going for it full steam. To celebrate, we're going to be doing two special shows. Gig one takes place amidst the winter warming splendour of our wonderful Lexington haunt in London. It's been a fantastic whole year since we moved above our new home, and to celebrate we've got a party to close our year here headed up by the one and only RUMBLE STRIPS.  Stay tuned for part 2, announced on Monday.

THE RUMBLE STRIPS - Tavistock, Devon's finest the Rumble Strips returned this year with the Mark Ronson produced Welcome To The Walk Alone, which saw them continue to develop their wonderfully heartfelt soulful pop to new splendorous heights. A band right at home in a cosy bar setting such as ours, we love the Rumble Strips dearly, and since their early releases on our sister label Transgressive Records they remain one of the most enjoyable live bands in the land.

THOMAS TRUAX - American songwriter, performer and inventor of musical instruments, the wonderful Thomas Truax is a phenomenally creative individual who first came to prominence in the Anti-folk movement on New York's Lower East side in the 1990s. Coming across half David Lynch film, half Tom Waits - we fell in awe of Thomas when we had him for a Basement Club night waaay back. Always accompanied by a fantastic concoction of newly invented instruments, Truax has recently been seen as crucial part of the "steampunk" genre in which musicians reference the Vitctorian "steam-power" world and H.G. Wells style fictional fantastical inventions. www.myspace.com/ThomasTruax

INTERNET FOREVER - New indie-pop trio Internet Forever make scuzzy shout-along lo-fi songs. Twee as mittens and fun as playground swings, they've quite rightly been causing a great stir of late.  www.myspace.com/internetforever

Plus of course there’ll be Rockfeedback DJs spinning some fine tunes, and guest DJs to be announced.

Tickets are a tasty £8 and can be snapped up HERE.  It all takes place on Thurs Dec 10th @ The Lexington 96-98 Pentonville Road, and doors are at 7.30pm.
