Toro Y Moi is 23 year old Columbia, South Carolina native and resident Chaz Bundick. Starting in 2001 as a bedroom project, Bundwick quickly grew into the live performance realm. The songs are born from a plethora of different genres, from freak-folk to R&B to French House with melodic ambient samples swirling around Chaz’s cleverly arranged pop song structures. Hazy summer sounds and equal parts perfectly crafted lo fi pop gem; 60s style pop meets 21st century lo fi; not dissimilar to Ariel Pink jamming with Motown's finest. Set to release a full two LPs in 2010 (the first of which was released to much acclaim in the States in Feb), Bundwick's project has been widely celebrated by everyone from Gorrilla Vs Bear, NME, Pitchfork and beyond. Regarded at what has been heralded as a burgeoning Chillwave movement, Bundwick still sees himself as a singer-songwriter, just one that uses a multitude of effects and samples. Chaz is now joined live by a backing band, and this sees a very eagerly anticipated first UK appearance.

Fergus & Geronimo are from Denton, Texas, and are a duo joined live by Landon Odle and Teenage Cool Kids drummer Bradley "Three Chainsaws" Kerl. Embracing soul, motown and Texan-fresh garage rock, the duo initially intended to draw specifically from The Four Tops and Mothers Of Invention, they have evolved over time to emcompass more modern sounds too. Released on Woodsist in the States and Transparent in the UK, F&G have built up a strong online following, and they play here as special guests on much anticipated UK visit.

Porcelain Raft is the moniker of Mauro R. a London based bedroom producer who is quicky making a big impact on London's heaving electronic scene. With shows coming up supporting the likes of The Smiths Westerns and Perfume Genius, as well as having hits like 'Gone Blind' and 'Tip Of Your Tongue' under his belt, the future is looking very, very, bright for Porcelain Raft, come catch him here before it inevitably gets a bit out of hand.

This show takes place at the new CAMP basement venue next to Old Street station on City Road, on Monday 19th July. Doors are at 7.30pm. It'll be a lovely hot summer eve show for sure.
