Hailing from New York, Devin signed to Frenchkiss in the States after label owner Syd Butler saw his compelling live performance, these UK shows will be no less raucous.
Devin’s debut EP entitled ‘You’re Mine’ is three tracks of classic rock & roll infused with elements of soul and punk; the passion of his vocal delivery combined with the high energy melodies introduce Devin as an exceptionally exciting artist. ‘You’re Mine’ was written while Devin worked at a Brooklyn shipping warehouse and contains what he calls his “first good songs”.
Having already been tipped by NME and Guardian Guide as well as strong radio support from Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens, Xfm’s John Kennedy and Mary Anne Hobbs and 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, these live shows will mark Devin out as a major new artist and one to watch for 2012.
PLUS SPECIAL GUESTS...

Sissy And The Blisters are a four piece rock ‘n’ roll band based in Guildford. They play guitars, an organ, drums and sing. They do not have a bass player because playing bass is boring. They aspire to condense the experimental nature of bands such as Can, Neu, My Bloody Valentine and Spacemen 3 into short sub three minute bursts of pop noise inspired by fifties rock ‘n’ roll and sixties beat groups. Their songs revel in a sense of mania and danger that sets them apart from virtually everyone else around at this time. Their gigs are 25 minute bursts of sonic mayhem kicking against conventional song structures. They practice in a spider infested cellar underneath the drummer’s house.

Torches are a London based quintet consisting of vocals, guitar, organ, drums and samples. With primal beats at the heart of their music, electronic-oriented rhythms combine with broody vocals and walls of both aggressive and atmospheric sound. Theirs is a frontman-led performance with a lyrical conscience and a healthy air of cynicism; guttural howls bring charge to the guitar and keyboard-heavy textures.
