20 Dec 2018

We continue our look ahead to 2019 with Luluc

We're sepnding the last few days of 2018 looking at some of the artists we're excited about for the year ahead. Today, we focus on Luluc.

WHO: Luluc are a folk duo made up of Zoë Randall and Steve Hassett

WHERE: The duo are from Australia but are currently based in Brooklyn

WHAT: Delicate Indie-Folk for fans of Odetta Hartman, Tomberlin, Jess Williamson and Anna St. Louis

WHY: The Sub Pop signed duo's fans include the likes of The National's Matt Berninger and Sleater Kinney's Janet Weiss. Their music has a rare timeless quality with Michael Hann describing it in The Guardian as 'not defiant or raging, but hushed and wistful'. We couldn't have said it better ourselves.

WHEN: Luluc play The Lexington on 5 February.
