You need to hear Kendrick Lamar's galvanising and gauntlet-throwing verse.
You can understand why Big Sean decided against including this song on his forthcoming album Hall of Fame. Sharing the outtake on Hot 97, the cut was apparently dropped from the album due to "sample clearing issues", though it seems more likely that it's just the damn near unstoppable guest verse from Kendrick Lamar, that makes you forget whose song it is supposed to be in the first place.
He lays claim to being rightful heir of both Tupac and Biggie:
"I'm important like the pope, I'm a muslim on pork
I'm Makaveli's offspring, I'm the king of New York
King of the Coast, one hand, I juggle them both
The juggernaut's all in your jugular, you take me for jokes"
Before aggresively laying into every other major rapper in the game. It's a wake up call for a little more healthy competition, already elliciting response from the likes of Pusha T, who tweeted "I hear u loud and clear my nigga @kendricklamar".
