Xclusiv - rockfeedback.com is set to release a limited-edition, tour-only single from Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age's much-revered, ardent-rocking, sleaze-punk outfit, Eagles of Death Metal during their December arena tour with Foo Fighters.
A one-off white-label, seven-inch vinyl of only 500 copies (catalogue-number: COQ001), the release will be available only at those cavernous dates on-tour, with any left-over copies available xclusivly on offer from rockfeedback.com in the new year - details to follow.
The two-track release (featuring a guest-stint from actor/Tenacious D's Jack Black) comprises new track 'Shasta Beast', taken from the band's upcoming 2006 LP, 'Death By Sexy', plus demo b-side 'I Want You So Hard'.
Homme exclusively told rockfeedback of the single and impending album: 'Rock=Fun? Rock=Shakin your ass? You thought those days had long since passed
& you wept. Dry your eyes, I have a surprise!!! Let 'Death By Sexy' begin to
spread like the wings of a glorious eagle, or go back to your sad, shoe-gazing
shypod.'
Tickets for the Foo's / Eagles dates have sold out. The tour runs: 12/11 - Birmingham NEC; 12/12 - Glasgow SECC; 14/12 - Manchester MEN; 17/12 - London Earl's Court. See you at the merch-stand. N.B. Footage of the tour / singles being made may well make the cut for our full MTV2 series, 'rockfeedback tv', due next year...
