Father John Misty has revealed a new song ‘The Memo’ that sounds as heavenly as the rest, but does not read as nicely. It's a stripped back ballad that unveils a wealth of frustrations with the music industry, and the media landscape in general. His honesty is often softened by his cryptic approach - although it’s easy to decipher the message he’s trying to express. Vocally the words are delivered with a FJM smoothness, lyrically the mood is a little less angelic.
