Ever wondered what it would be like to be trapped inside cult 90s arcade game Area 51 with a psychedelic grunge band from Kent pulling the strings? Well, fear not, because Brighton via-Cantebury three-piece GANG have put plenty of credits into the machine and allowed you to go where no brain has gone before. GANG's latest single 'Silverback' arrives with a video as visually trippy as the song is reckless. There's so much energy pummelled into 'Silverback' that one could think it impossible to have a video that is in any way up to hanging with the thumping drums and moaning vocals of the track. However, Chris Wade manages to do quite an incredible job with the video. I suppose, in the simplest way, it is a video about losing your mind. Wade just revels in the wonderfully strange, yet playful, ways in which you can do that. Blood is spilt, spliffs are smoked, the Earth make it out all in one piece. Some choice dialogue at the 1:40 minute mark is also not to be missed. Game over. Credits 0. Check it.
Don't miss GANG in Brighton tonight at Bleach, as the main support for Yak. GANG have also just confirmed playing the SWN all-dayer in Cardiff on April 15th.
Enjoy 'Silverback' below - of course -"no brains allowed":
