The release in February next year of Six Cups Of Rebel will be Lindstrom’s first for three years, and as if to remind us what he’s all about he’s decided to let us have ‘De Javu’ as a taster.

For those of you not familiar with the Norwegian, he’s all about the disco, with ‘De Javu’ featuring all the usual ingredients, funky Stevie Wonder synths, funkier bass and the drum beat equivalent of a drunk mate dragging you to the dance floor.

This album will be the first to feature Lindstrom’s own vocals, and the addition is pleasingly non-distracting, allaying any fears that he might cock it all up by sounding like a twat. The track is a perfect reintroduction to Lindstrom‘s music, and more than enough for us to be dusting off our flares and platform shoes for February. As if we needed an excuse.
