Why is this worthy of my time and money?: A homecoming is always special for any artist, but for one such as Morrissey, given the years prior to his 'You Are The Quarry' LP spent in the wilderness and the huge history he and his art have with the city, there's something extra poignant to every Manchester show he plays. Now firmly back on our musical radar, the ex-Smiths front man spreads Christmas gloom and cutting wit with songs from his marvellous, most recent 'Ringleader of the Tormentors' LP, as well as some old solo favourites and Smiths classics. With rediscovered gems such as 'How Soon Is Now' and 'Panic' now sitting alongside new epics such as the stunning 'Life is a Pigsty' in the Stephen Patrick setlist, it promises to be quite the retrospective. Bring your gladioli.
