Dublin alt-rock artist Ailbhe Reddy releases her debut album 'Personal History'

3 years in the making, Irish alt-rock artist Ailbhe Reddy released her debut album 'Personal History' on Friday. The album is a ten track "journey to self acceptance", as an emerging queer artist from Ireland.

Reddy took a year to study psychotherapy, which has clearly impacted the album, lending to the observations she makes in her music. She ranges from singing about the nature of long distance relationships whilst touring in 'Time Difference', laying bare about struggling with relationships, her career and making decisions in 'Failing', and opening up about the realities of a breakup in the age of social media in 'Looking Happy'.

"The collection of songs I ultimately decided to put on this record are all linked to my desire as a songwriter to understand myself and those around me," she notes. "Writing is about being understood, music is therapy."
