NEW MUSIC: Hana, ‘Underwater’

Another enticing EP teaser from the Grimes-affiliated singer

March is set to be a big month for Hana. As well as heading out on the road with Grimes in support of the Canadian pop prodigy's Ac!d Reign tour, the Los Angeles' singer is also playing her first London shows at The Old Blue Last and The Waiting Room (both sold out far in advance) and releasing her eponymous debut EP - due on the 25th.

Essentially, March is the month that Hana has to come good on the lashings of hype lavished upon her following early single 'Clay' but, judging by the theatrical grandeur of new offering 'Underwater', she shouldn't be too worried. Like a super pop version of Zola Jesus, 'Underwater' layers on the drama in the classiest of ways; all controlled vocals and sweeping melodies, it's the kind of song that wouldn't sound out of place soundtracking a particularly melodramatic moment in Twilight - but y'know, in a good way.

Catch her live next week if you were lucky enough to snap up a ticket and check out the new video below.
