San Francisco trio Hot Flash Heat Wave share latest single 'Grudge'
The San Franciso garage rockers, Hot Flash Heat Wave, have recently released their latest single 'Grudge'.
The new track boasts influences spreading from new wave to R&B to neo-psychadelia, and is mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs). Writing about the track, the band spilled: "It’s about spinning out on inner narratives and feeling all alone, and the moment of awareness realizing that it’s mental distortion. Writing it really felt like a healing experience for me during this time".
With an LP set for release in 2021, 'Grudge' is a taste of what is to come. Speaking of their upcoming album, Hot Flash Heat Wave said: “The concept started with a deep desire to bring new music in the vein of The Smiths, Cocteau Twins, Tears for Fears, The Cure to the modern musical landscape of our contemporaries as well as new pop influences like Post Malone and Juice WRLD.”
