Ahead of our first DMYxRFB presents: NEXT HYPE showcase, Dreya Mac shares some of her fave artists.

Dreya Mac is set to play our first DMYxRFB presents: NEXT HYPE showcase next week, along side Carla Prata and BINA.

Dreya has shared some of her top artists of the moment with us. From Tame Impala to Doja Cat, there is an impressive list of influences that has got us even more excited for next week.

Tame Impala
Tame Impala always have me feeling good. Great summer vibes but always just the lyrics alone and melodies get you feeling great. The instrumentation of their songs is heavily layered and gives you a lot to work with.

The Internet
The internet have always been a favourite of mine. Their take on neo-soul / R&B makes me want to make music like that. The love songs are endearing and less cringe.

She’s a new artist finally starting to step out. Her upbeat flow makes you just want to dance. Making feel good summer tracks through known samples.

The tone this woman has is so unique. The melodies bounce off each other and gel well together. Feel good summer vibes.

Doja Cat
Doja Cat’s pen is elite. Her spontaneous wordplay and shift of topic keeps you on your toes. Her melodic hooks make you enjoy the song even more than her verses alone. She knows how to make a banger.

Master Peace
His flavour is something the UK doesn’t currently have. Upbeat catchy hooks and melodic beats. His UK accent shining through does separate him from others similar to this style.

Jungle have been around a while but they make music to fit every scenario. Best music to drive to but also just chill to. The harmonies and the way their voices blend together works perfectly.

Capella Grey - Gyalis
This song is a summer bop. Capella’s tone is so inviting. His melodies throughout are diverse and keep you in your toes. Definitely let’s you know exactly who he is throughout his lyrics. A perfect introduction to him as an artist.
