Highlight of 2018
Discovering the city of Newcastle - after 22 years in the UK this year I was determined to see out more than the South of the country so I travelled to Newcastle upon Tyne and loved it so much I returned twice more! The people are mint, the art is plenty and the live music scene is very much happening, go see for yourself!

Cultural Highlight
- Being part of the team to open new venue EartH in Dalston was a trip. It's not often you get to renovate and re-open a disused art deco cinema and the first 3 months of events (many of them RFB ones) have been very special.

Discovery
- Watching Arsenal be an unbeaten exciting force again.
- I'm now the sort of person who does yoga in the park.
- That on the global stage we're through the looking glass now and nothing is certain, or at all predictable. Yet, Culture and the Arts feel more varied, vital and richer than ever.
- There's also so much good TV being made it's impossible to keep up. Bests this year > Patrick Melrose, Succession, The Sinner, Killing Eve, Dynasties, Atlanta, Bojack Horseman, Wild Wild Country, Sally4Ever, Glow, Trust, to name a few
- Films liked most in 2018 > leave no trace, annilhaliation, I Tonya, Beast, Phantom Thread, Shape of Water. Art exhibitions > Gursky, Kusama, Picasso 1932, Ryoji Ikeda
