Seldom do bands aim their sardonic wit at themselves, although in this short yet contagious critique it is the singer's shoes that appear to be the main target. The pique dripping all over Stefan Abingdon's 'white nike dunks' is complemented by the gentle chiding of Maya Yianni, providing a pleasing interplay between the two amid the homegrown bedroom production aesthetic. The build up of synths and lyrics that cut into the rest of the song, not to mention the overly fashion conscious, will have the intended victims dancing to the tune of their own disparagement.
Entertaining and light hearted nonsense electro meets gobby lo-fi pop; this is the voice of a thousand bedrooms around London. If this is anything to judge them by we should expect some massive future releases from this duo.
