Nottinghamshire's finest Tindersticks will be rolling out the bandwagon across Europe this spring to support their new LP. If their previous six albums have managed to pass you by then you might like to know that the boys have been good enough to release a free download as a kind of late introduction. The dreamy The Flicker of a Little Girl is available from the band's official Myspace page here and is the first track to be lifted from the forthcoming record.
The second slice - The Hungry Saw - is arriving on April 14th, backed with Back to the Earth it will be available as a download or in a more tangible 7" format. The album that all this gloriousness springs from is also called The Hungry Saw and is released on April 28th.
Tucked neatly between a Brussels show and Parisian night at the Folies Bergere the band will be in the UK (specifically London) to headline the Royal Festival Hall on May 3rd. There are more live dates and festival appearances to be confirmed but for now the venue list for that Euro-trip runs thus:
29-Apr Copenhagen Vega
02-May Brussels Cirque Royale
03-May London Royal Festival Hall
05-May Paris Folies Bergere
31- May Barcelona, Primavera Festival
The band have recently given their website a lovely facelift (not as lovely as ours mind) and more information about all these dates can be found there, er,.. here.
