There's less than two weeks to go until Visions Festival 2016 takes a hold of Hackney and fills it to the brim with a gloriously diverse platter of live music for your delectation.

To get you in the mood, we're turning the spotlight on one artist a day until we open up the gates - and don't forget to get your advance tickets from visionsfestival.com. See you on Saturday August 6th!

WHO: Show Me The Body - the New York hardcore punks who ripped London a new one when they came over for their debut UK shows in February

WHERE: Mangle, 5.45pm

CREDENTIALS: Hailed by Pitchfork as "captur[ing] the increasingly alarming state of a New York that is rapidly attempting to eradicate the chaos they favor," SMTB wreak havoc wherever they land. At SXSW, they were one of this year's breakout acts, while every show on these shores has been packed out, sweaty and masterful.

WHAT THEY SAY: “Defining, or labelling something is the same as making it a commodity. We are in the business of building our own,” they told NME at the beginning of the year. “Show Me The Body feels like a gang that doesn’t care about money, drugs or turf, just the truth.”

WHY PICK THEM? From the whole of this year's Visions line-up, SMTB hit the hardest. Punishing hip-hop/ hardcore crossover tracks are spat out with a bludgeoning force, while banjo parts (!!) show they literally couldn't give two shits what people think or expect.

FOR FANS OF: Beastie Boys, Odd Future

TRY THIS: 'Body War' is still probably their best-loved tune.
