Three more acts shot at the excellent Ja Ja Ja club night have featured on Rockfeedback TV this week.  The monthly showcase of the best in Nordic music, this time curated by Moshi Moshi records, treated us in November to this lot...

Born and raised in Reykjavík, Lára Rúnars (pictured) developed a love of music while growing up listening to her father playing and recording with legendary Icelandic band Grafík. Through him Lára was first introduced to artists such as Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Nick Cave.

Who are Niki and the Dove?  Well, there is no Niki, and there is no Dove. We don't know much more about this lot except that Malin Dahlström provides the vocals and Gustaf Karlöf writes the songs. Vocally, Malin's voice has a cold, strident quality to it, all cool theatricality and witchy goth disdain.

Champagne Riot is the brainchild of two Scandinavians, Caspar Bock and Anders Reuter. Recording from a damp basement in the violent concrete ghetto of Copenhagen they make electronic pop songs, which are true, necessary and straight from the heart.

Scandinavian people are really attractive though, aren’t they?  Positive stereotyping in action.
