Help She Can’t Swim - The Death of Nightlife (Fantastic Plastic)

3/5

By: Christiana Spens

Help She Can't Swim - The Death of NightlifeRelentless as a trippy little daydream, insolent as a neglected child, Help She Can't Swim beg questions I often ponder myself. Questions like 'how did we get sucked into this?', only half-caring for an answer...

An existentially confused disco full of serotonin-starved pretty people, there's a happily addictive decadence woven into the strung-up melodies - songs of waiting in neurosis and dancing with Dionysus...

"It's too late, you're losing your insight," they panic and flicker with the strobe light, like philosophy drop-outs on a flawed night out - painting the town a rouge shade of red, and fainting from the immoral dilemmas and bad combinations.

Don't Mix Drugs and Doctrine. I learned the hard way.

A tempo to challenge the Klaxons to a duel with a glow-stick, lyrics as colourful and jaded as a sunset viewed through dark glasses and glazed eyes: will carry you away into the giddy highs and careless lows of someone else's pretty nightmare - not so much the death of nightlife, as its afterlife...
